Serigraphy
Screen printing is a popular technique for clothing personalization, involving pressing ink through a mesh screen directly onto the fabric. This method creates vibrant, durable designs that adhere perfectly to the material. Versatile and efficient, screen printing is ideal for t-shirts, sweatshirts and various other garments, making it a preferred choice for eye-catching and long-lasting prints. It is particularly suitable for designs with a limited number of colors, offering a clean and vibrant rendering for each shade.
There are several types of screen printing, and we offer three methods to personalize your clothes: water-based printing, plastisol printing and relief printing (puff print).
Note that for screen printing, fixed shots are generated due to the use of frames. • Plastisol printing - Plastisol printing is a screen printing technique that uses PVC-based ink. This process creates prints with a slightly thicker texture due to the paste-like consistency of the ink. Plastisol prints are known for their opaque coverage, ensuring that colors remain vibrant and well defined on the fabric. The texture of the ink makes the designs perceptible to the touch, providing a distinct tactile quality to clothing. This technique is widely used for its durability and the richness of the colors it produces.
Puff Screen Printing - Puff printing is a screen printing technique that creates a raised effect, providing a three-dimensional texture on the fabric. It uses a special ink that swells when exposed to heat, bringing out the embossed design on the surface. This process adds depth and a unique look to graphics, making them visually appealing and pleasant to the touch. Puff print is ideal for bold designs that stand out and capture attention. • Water-based printing - Printing with water-based ink is an eco-responsible technique, using inks without chemical solvents, therefore less harmful to the environment. This process offers a soft and light finish, ideal for subtle designs on light fabrics, although a little less opaque on dark fabrics. This method is less resistant than plastisol ink but recent advances improve its durability. By drying quickly in the air, printing with water-based ink speeds up the production process, while providing an environmentally friendly solution for textile printing. Screen printing has no size limit, which gives you infinite creative freedom, whatever the size of your designs. However, to avoid being surprised, it is essential to design customizations using the CMIN color space (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) to obtain the best color results.
Digital print
Digital printing, including Direct-to-Garment (DTG), uses an inkjet printer to apply water-based inks directly to fabric. This method allows detailed, full-color prints with smooth gradients, making it ideal for complex designs. DTG works particularly well on light-colored fabrics; For dark materials, a white base coat is first printed to intensify the vibrancy of the colors. It is an ideal solution for producing high quality designs on clothing. For optimal results, we also use the CMIN color space to obtain beautiful colors.
Brodery
At Merchline Studios, we believe that giving you a variety of options is essential to finding exactly what you need to make your clothes look both stylish and high-end. Here is our third customization option: embroidery. Embroidery involves sewing designs directly onto fabric using thread. This method adds texture and a professional finish to clothing, making it ideal for complex logos and designs. The embroidery is durable and withstands regular washing, ensuring that the designs remain vibrant over time. It's a classic and elegant way to personalize your clothes. Please note that for the use of embroidery there are fixed costs corresponding to the design programming costs.
